hello all (those who actually view my blog; there's a message for you guys at the end of the post)! part of RPDB went to Sentosa earlier today for R&R. it was my first time driving across the sea, though still in S'pore waters. =.= check out the photos below! enjoy!

oh yes, check this out. me and KIA were outside my car still in Sentosa, i dumped my bag into the boot and left my camera on the top of my car, wanting to bring it into the car. instead, i just drove off. there were a few humps which i didn't really stop or slow down in Sentosa, and i was going at 40-60km/h. then at the bridge connecting to mainland S'pore, i was going rather slow on lane 2, the left-most lane, and there was a Porche behind me. it overtook me and when it came beside me, the driver kept honking at me and pointing up. thought he was scolding me for going to slow, so i just ignored him. but Kia and i were thinking maybe i didn't close the boot. i stopped somewhere outside VIVO and asked him to check, but it was shut. so i thought that bloody Porche driver was an A*****E. so i just went on into the VIVO carpark. had to wait to quite awhile before crossing the barrier, and my car was on the slope. when i parked my car, and got out, i bloody saw my camera on the top of my car. I WAS SHOCKED, and so was Kia. THANK GOD IT DIDN'T DROP OFF! have to thank the Porche driver, though what are the odds of him reading this. but seriously, i have no idea how the camera survive the ride from Sentosa to Vivo.

to all readers of my blog, please give me your blog links, if you have, at my tagboard. i'll link you from there. THANKS!

SICK.

when my phone's message tone sounded, you have no idea how excited i was. but it soon died off as we continued texting each other, for like 3 SMS-es? you don't know how i've been counting down the days you'll be returning. well, like my MSN personal message says, extinguished excitement.

wonder if you'll even read my blog.

GO USA! beat Argentina! go for GOLD! watching the game now live.

alright, i'm sick and tired with people criticising the Chinese-born athletes from Team Singapore that brought Silver to our nation. there is a reason why we have foreign sportspeople to play for our country. one of the reasons i can think of is to INCREASE the competition here to IMPROVE our own sportspeople.

everyone know our local talents don't perform as well as the people under the Foriegn Talent Scheme(FTS), or rather, most of them for that matter. you see, if our own sportspeople are putting sports as their career and more importantly their passion, they should take the government's initiative of the FTS as a motivation to train harder. so i don't agree with what some of the S'poreans have said, that is the FTS will only discourage these local sportspeople from doing sports. yes, these sportspeople under the FTS were not born in Singapore but they are indeed playing for Singapore, which is something that nobody forced them into. they are doing it at their own will and have decided to make Singapore their country and want to bring Singapore sports up to greater heights.

why don't we be grateful and thank them for their achievements for the country instead of blabbering about how they're not S'poreans and winning the medals are worthless.

now that i've cleared that off my chest, time for some random stuff. my father came back home today and asked me to call Subaru and ask how much our current Lancer is worth and check the price of the Impreza 1.5l hatchback. ok, i like that car but i don't want it. it looks great and all, but it's just too slow. on paper, it goes from 0-100km/h in 14.0seconds. FOURTEEN! now how pathetic is that? now, people who's been in my car knows i love accelerating but not speeding. so that's a very important factor when it comes to choosing a car for me. another thing is the comfort of the passengers. there is ample legroom for the Impreza, but really not enough to squeeze 3 grown adults comfortably at the back seats.

i'm going to psyche my dad out of buying that car and on my part, i'll make do with our 2004 Lancer GLX 1.6l. but delaying the sale of this car will only increase the depreciation value. currently, the selling price of our car is just over S$28k. we bought it for S$75k four years ago.

the commentator tried to say JIAYOU but instead he blurted out DAIYO. but still made the same translation, DAIYO means MORE OIL.

hope you're enjoying your trip there! COME BACK QUICK!

these are some of the photos from CCWC 2008.

so my 19th birthday just passed, 16 August for your information. had Peking duck on Saturday, and crabs on Sunday. really really great food. though the Peking duck was really oily.

watching Olympics Basketball right now, Spain vs Croatia. currents score's 50-34, Spain. anyway, the commentator tried to translate what the Chinese fans are cheering, which is JIA YOU. he said the translation to it is MORE OIL and is cheered when the favorite team is down behind and the crowd wants them to shift into higher gear. well, kind of, if it's directly translated, that is.

alright, that was random.

someone's away from SG. well, enjoy yourself there and please, COME BACK QUICK! i miss you!

here's a little riddle i got from a website.
I am the center of gravity, hold a capital situation in Vienna, and as I am foremost in every victory, am allowed by all to be invaluable. Though I am invisible, I am clearly seen in the midst of a river. I could name three who are in love with me and have three associates in vice. It is vain that you seek me for I have long been in heaven yet even now lie embalmed in the grave. What am I?
the answer's at the end of the post.

alright. i'm going to post about the Penang trip tomorrow. haven't gotten the photos yet.

today's the last day of the Sports Business module. the faci treated us to drinks during the first break, then pizza at the end of the day. i really like this guy, Wahid Dawood. it's not just because he gave us a treat, but also how he facilitates us. though he uses PBL to the MAX, i find that he can make his lessons really interesting. whichever class he's facilitating next semester, they better appreciate him.

i've nothing else to post about. wait for tomorrow's post!

so here's the answer for the question above: "the letter 'V'". yes, that's the answer. go read through the entire passage part by part.
